In order to make the building process more enjoyable and avoid the hassles of locating and cutting heavy steel parts, MechWerks offers CNC plasma cut mounts for Big V-twin engines. Parts are supplied “as-cut” from the CNC Plasma table. Click here for an explanation of plasma cutting. Keep in mind that it is hard to provide totally universal parts. Most parts have some extra material designed in for variation but requires extra fitting. If you are not sure that a part will fit your needs, please send an email to mechwerks@mechwerks.com for details.

Front Engine mount,
gussets and forward control mounting bosses for Big Twin Engines— This front engine mount is CNC cut from ½ steel HR
plate providing a 1” wide mount surface and is 8-1/2” wide with legs
extending forward 2-7/8” for custom fitting. Gussets are 1/4” HR steel plate
made to fit a 4.5” CLR bend 1-1/4” tubing. This mount is designed to fit on
lower rails with about 8-5/8” centers but can be cut in the center o be
extended or shortened. The five Bosses are machined from ¾” CR steel round, 1”
long with 3/8”-16 threads and supplied loose. Total of eight pieces. Profile
parts are supplied as-cut from the CNC Plasma and will require additional
finish work and drilling. Full scale

Seat Post Cross Bar— 1”x2”x.125” wall rectangular tubing cut to 12”
long. Used on many frames to fabricate the typical bottom seat post crossbar.
Now you don’t need to buy a 20’ stick or look further to find a hunk of this
stuff. Also works great for a rear transmission mount by adding a couple of

Rear Transmission Mount— A two-piece mount for rigid frames with a ½” HR
steel upper mounting plate and a 3/8” HR steel crossbar. The two parts are
welded together forming a right angle with the smaller piece forming a flat
for the transmission plate. The crossbar part is 10-3/4” long providing extra
material for notching to the lower frame rails. Full scale drawing included
